My Story
"Journalism is an act of faith for the future" - Ann Curry
I'm an award-winning journalist and producer. While my journalistic roots are planted in the dynamics of big business and following the whirlwind of global economics, I'm always on the hunt to tell compelling stories about authentic people.
As a business reporter, I've found that money is essential to any field of reporting. The reshaping of journalism is an ever-changing frontier in the age of the social web has given me a myriad of platforms to create compelling content.
Before migrating to the East Coast I worked as a features writer, web editor, and lead videographer for the College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign where I supervised a team of producers and editors. I was responsible for the development and production of web content for online courses and promotional recruitment videos across social platforms.
I was a syndicated sportswriter for the WNBA and I’ve worked as a producer and director for the Big Ten Network. My work has appeared in CNN Money, Investments News, Crain's Wealth, New York Daily News, Essence.com, and others.
I am an alumna of CUNY Graduate School of Journalism and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Oh, yeah, and I bleed orange and blue #ILL-INI!
